Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, confirmed that a key priority is increasing imports of petroleum derivatives, reported Egypt Oil & Gas.
The statement was made during a press conference at the ministry of petroleum, where El Molla, noted that exports from Kuwait Co-operation Petroleum Corporation have been raised from 1m to 2.2m barrels of crude oil. Adding that the rates of importing gas oil from Saudi Aramco have been raised from 800 thousand to 1.5m tons, in addition to contracting with Russian RoseNeft for more facilities, and increasing the trade between the two countries.
