During his participation in COP28, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla held high level talks with John Kerry, the US Presidential Envoy for Climate Affairs.
The meeting discussed the idea of working to increase the contribution of renewable energies to the global energy mix and the importance of working to mobilize more funding to support this initiative.
Moreover, the two leaders highlighted the necessity of supporting the efforts of energy providers in their commitment to reducing emissions, improving energy efficiency and enhancing consumption processes to ensure the security of supplies as well as meet the needs of growth and development.
