Egypt, Greece Hold Talks on Energy Cooperation

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has met with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in New Alamein City to explore the potential to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in energy. 

The two leaders reviewed mutual concern for the speedy activation and implementation of the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed between the two countries, and the continued push for cooperation in the fields of military, economic, and cultural cooperation, in addition to the energy, the green transition, natural gas, and electrical interconnection.

The talks also witnessed an exchange of visions and viewpoints regarding regional files of common interest, in line with the consistency of the positions of the two countries in the eastern Mediterranean region, with an emphasis on the fact that the Eastern Mediterranean Gas Forum (EMGF) which represents one of the most important tools in this context.
