Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El Molla, discussed with Bechtel the development of a new petrochemical complex in the Suez Canal Economic Zone, according to the cabinet’s gate, Egypt Oil & Gas reports
This came as the Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met with Bechtel’s CEO Brendan Bechtel and an accompanying delegation in the presence of El Molla.
Madbouly ensured that the government is looking forward to dealing with the company as they can use its experience in big establishments, not only in the petroleum field but in the transportation field as well.
Nader Saad, the official spokesman of the Egyptian Cabinet, said that Bechtel seeks new cooperation as the company has been working in Egypt for decades now.
Bechtel praised the Egyptian government’s success throughout the last three years, as he witnessed more development each time he visited the country.
