The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Co (EGAS) resumed pumping 90mcf/d gas to Misr Fertilizers Production Company’s (MOPCO) and Alexandria Fertilizers factory after regular maintenance work was completed, reported Al Borsa News.
A source from EGAS stated that the pumping of 45mcfd of gas to MOPCO’s second line stopped in order for the company to carry out regular maintenance for the equipment. Annual maintenance periods usually last between 15 to 20 days, reported Daily News Egypt.
In related news, EGAS requested fertilizer manufacturers to schedule annual maintenance during August in order to divert their supply of gas towards electricity production, as the demand for power increases during the peak summer month.
