Dana tots up gas output

United Arab Emirates-based Dana Gas said its gross operated gas production in Iraq and Egypt had reached 220 million cubic feet per day, an increase of more than 50%.

Production at its 75 MMcfd facility in Iraq’s Kurdistan region, which began operations last month, would rise to 150 MMcfd early next year before hitting 300 MMcfd later in the year, the company said in a statement.

The Abu Dhabi-listed player, an affiliate of the UAE’s Crescent Petroleum, also said it was moving ahead with plans for the exploration and development of an offshore concession in Sharjah, which covers an area of 1000 square kilometres.
