Czech firms offered Russia-based Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation (Rosatom) to provide components for Dabaa nuclear plant that Egypt is currently executing, Czech Trade and Industry Minister, Jan Mládek, said during the first meeting of the Egyptian Czech Joint Economic Committee, Zawya reported.
Prague is seeking to enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of trade, industry, energy, and transport as well as small and medium enterprises. According to Mládek, Czech investors are also focusing on investments in Egypt in the new and renewable energy sector.
Egypt and the Czech Republic signed two agreements to boost economic cooperation between the two countries.
During the official meetings, Egypt’s Electricity Minister, Mohamed Shaker, said that the country is keen on promoting economic, trade and social relations with all EU countries, informed All Africa.
