After a meeting between the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, and a delegation of China Development Bank (CDB), the bank expressed its readiness to finance petroleum Projects in Egypt.

In addition, according to a statement cited by the State Information Service, it is ready to coordinate for establishing partnerships between Egyptian and Chinese petroleum firms and bodies.

El Molla said that many investment opportunities in the oil sector would help support and promote the Chinese-Egyptian relations, especially in the oil exploration and production fields. On his side, the bank’s Vice President briefed the minister on the recent petroleum projects financed by the bank in a number of countries.
