Chevron has announced that natural gas flows from Israel to Egypt via the East Mediterranean Gas (EMG) pipeline have resumed, Al Ahram Newspaper reported.
The report elaborated that the company has restarted the flow of natural gas supplies from the Tamar offshore field after operations were halted for more than a month in accordance with instructions by Israeli authorities amid the current conflict in Gaza.
Meanwhile, the EMG pipeline, which runs from Israel’s Ashkelon to Egypt’s Arish City, was reported to continue operations this week.
Natural gas shipments were taking a longer route in Jordan because the direct link was shut down in October.
