Eng. Sameh Fahmi, Minister of Petroleum, witnessed the Petroleum Sector’s workers celebrations of the 32nd National Petroleum day, attended by Mr. Fawzi Abdel Bari, Head of the General Petroleum Workers Syndicate, the Petroleum Sector’s leaderships, the syndicate workers’ representatives, as well as EGPC and petroleum companies ‘ representatives, where he delivered the charges of H.E President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak and the NDP to the Petroleum Sector during the coming phase and starting its implementation immediately in effect. The Meeting was held in the National Advanced Control Center (NATA).
During the meeting, the Minister honored the outstanding companies during the year 2006/2007. Honored companies are: The General Petroleum Company, totally state owned,  as well as Ameryia Petroleum Refining Co., Gulf of Suez Petrolum Co., Petrobel, Qarun, Petrojet, Enppi, Petroleum Air Services Co., Sumed, Midor, Anrpc, United Company for Natural Gas Derivatives, Nile Oil Marketing, Total Egypt and Vegas for oil and gas company.
Moreover, the Ministry of Petroleum honoured the names of the Petroleum Sector’s workers martyrs, confirming the Ministry’s full care to their children as well as availing job opportunities for them in the Petroleum Sector.
