The Cabinet approved a draft plan to take measures to cut down on the consumption of electricity, which would increase natural gas exports and allow the Egyptian economy to benefit from foreign currency.
The draft plan consists of several decisions including the closure of internal and external lighting of governmental agencies after working hours as well as reducing the use of lighting on roads.
In addition, it stated that cafes and restaurants should be committed to opening and closing times based on the summer hours.
The Cabinet also approved the implementation of the first phase of integrating logistics within the El Sohkna – Al- Dekhiela corridor to connect the Mediterranean with the Red Sea to facilitate export services.
