BP plans to add 300 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d) from Giza and Fayoum natural gas fields to production.
Therefore, the total production from the two fields is set to reach 700 mmscf/d of natural gas in April 2019, reaching the highest production rates of the two fields, a source at the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) told Al Borsa News.
Giza and Fayoum fields started producing natural gas in February 2019 at 400 mmscf/d, the source said, given that the two fields have eight wells in the Mediterranean deep water.
In addition, BP will aim to speed up the development of the North Alexandria deep water projects.
