Assiut Oil Refining Company (ASORC) plans to refine 4.1 million tons of crude oil during fiscal year (FY) 2019/20, according to company head Mahmoud Hassan, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
The company will produce 2.4 million tons of mazut, over 1 million tons of diesel, 530,500 tons of naphtha, 73,400 tons of jet fuel, and 37,000 tons of butane, Hassan said.
Hassan revealed the company’s projections during the general assembly chaired by Minister of Petroleum Tarek El Molla to review the company’s budget plans for FY 2019/20. The meeting was attended by Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawy.
The company’s plan comes in line with the ministry’s strategy to maximize production and rationalize consumption through implementing several projects to boost ASORC’s output.
