Alexandria National Refine & Petrochemical Company (ANRPC) plans to refine 5 million tons of crude oil in fiscal year (FY) 2018/2019 in order to produce around 99,000 tons of butane, 1.3 million tons of naphtha, 1.2 million tons of diesel, 1.4 million tons of mazut, 400,000 tons of jet fuel, and 19,000 tons of asphalt, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
The company is further studying establishing two new projects for vacuum and air distillation in order to boost output, , ANRPC’s Head, Medhat Bahgat, stated during the general assembly chaired by Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, to view the company’s budget for FY 2018/2019.
ANRPC has allocated a huge part of its 2018/2019 investments for renovation and renewal projects, which is a priority in the modernization program and aim to boost the efficiency of refineries, Bahgat pointed out.
