Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla witnessed the signing of a digital transformation contact between Abu Qir fertilizers and Chemicals Company and SAP, the ministry said in a statement.

The two companies signed the contract in the context of keeping pace with modern technological developments and benefiting from them.

The contract was signed by Abu Qir Fertilizers Company’s Chairman Abed Ezz El Regal and SAP Egypt Managing Director Mohamed Samy. It took place in the presence of Hoda Mansour, Head of Business Process Intelligence, Southern Europe Middle East and Africa. 

Under the contract, SAP will establish an integrated digital system in Abu Qir Company, in which the ERP system is integrated with the information management system so that the company’s work is managed through a smart digital system.  This facilitates speed and accuracy in decision-making based on instant data and information.

El Molla pointed out the importance of keeping pace with the value-added industries, which Abu Qir Fertilizers Company is a part of. He emphasized the importance of modern technological developments and the use of the latest global experiences and applications to implement the goals of digital transformation.

For his part, Ezz El Regal indicated the company’s continuous keenness and interest in modernizing its work systems through the application of the ERP system. He highlighted that this is important to keep pace with the latest global technologies.
