Crude oil and derivatives production rates from new petroleum discoveries made during the period from January to July totaled in at 5288 b/d in the Abu Sinnan (located in the Western Desert) and Gharb Ish Al-Malaha concession areas.
EGPC exploratory work with its foreign partner in April resulted in 3900 b/d of derivatives from the Alam Al-Bayoum well in Abu Sinnan. As for Gharb Ish Al-Malaha, GANOPE’s production rates for its new Malak find there amounted to 430 b/d of high quality light crude oil.
The General Petroleum Company (GPC) was also able to contribute 1358 b/d of oil from its own finds in Abu Sinnan, made on 3rd April.
