Algeria’s Sonatrach has signed a cooperation agreement with the Indonesian state-owned oil and gas giant Pertamina to increase production from overseas oil and gas fields.
The Algerian state energy company Sonatrach has signed a deal with Italian firm ENI for a solar power plant, the 10MW photovoltaic facility will be launched before the end of 2016 in Ouargla in southern Algeria.
A source at state energy company Sonatrach said that Algeria expects to produce more than 9bcm/y additional gas output, when three projects come online during 2017.
Upstream assets in Algeria, Iraq and Malaysia have pushed oil and gas production by Indonesia's Pertamina Internasional Eksplorasi and Produksi (PIEP) to surpass its target in 2016 by 15%.
