Bahrain’s Bapco to hold bidding for gas E&P in May

OMV Aktiengesellschaft announces the discovery and successful testing of oil in the A1-NC202 exploration well in Block NC202. The well is located in the offshore Sirte Basin, 40 km southwest of Benghazi. The well reached a total depth of 15,815 ft (4,820m) and tested a natural flow rate of up to 1,264 bbl/d from the Eocene Dernah Formation. Libya's NOC reported that a hydrocarbon discovery was made with the A1-NC202 wildcat well offshore Libya in the Sirte Basin. The 12 members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) pumped an average 27.98 million barrels per day (b/d) in March, as the oil producer group continued its efforts to slash oversupply and prevent oil prices falling further, according to a Platts survey of OPEC, oil industry officials and analysts just released.
