EGAS Resumes Gas to Fertilizer Firms
The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Co (EGAS) resumed pumping 90mcf/d gas to Misr Fertilizers Production Company’s (MOPCO) and Alexandria Fertilizers factory after regular maintenance work was completed.

BESIX Orascom to Build $350m FSRU Pier in Ain Sukhna
Arab Petroleum Pipelines Company (SUMED) signed a contract with the Egyptian and Belgian consortium of BESIX-ORASCOM for the construction of a $350m pier and accompanying marine facilities in Ain Sukhna, in eastern Egypt. The project is set to include bunkering infrastructure for both conventional and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) bunkers.
Petrogas Undersupplies Butane by 94% to Aluminum Factories
The Egyptian Chamber of Engineering Industries corresponded with both the ministries of petroleum and industry, as well as Petrogas, in regards to the undersupply of butane tanks to Meet Ghamr aluminum manufacturers. The original daily supply deal was for 3,000 tanks, yet Meet Gahmr facilities are currently receiving only 200 tanks per day.
Egypt Invests $20b in VRU for Naphtha and Butane
The Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, stated that the country is constructing a new Vapor Recovery Unit (VRU) worth $ 20b within Assiut Refinery, to cover domestic demands of petroleum derivatives, especially naphtha and butane gas, as it will provide the market with 356,000 tons of naphtha and around 42,000 tons of butane annually.
Ismail: Egypt’s Power, Gas Reserves Sufficient until 2026
Egyptian Prime Minister, Sherif Ismail, stated in a meeting with editors-in-chief of national newspapers, that Egypt's strategic reserves of gas and electricity are sufficient to address domestic demand till 2026.
