Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has inaugurated the integrated Gastec - Eni fueling station in cooperation with Fajr Egypt, to supply cars with natural gas, liquid fuel and associated services. The station is located in the Banafseg area in New Cairo.
The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MoPMR), along with the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) and its subsidiaries, dealt with 2,423 complaints in February 2024, and addressed the reasons for and responded to 1,994 complaints and reports from them.
Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has stated that the Middle East Refinery (MIDOR) expansion project is one of the major projects being implemented by the sector and will provide 3 million tons of high-quality petroleum products annually, including diesel, high-octane fuel, jet fuel, butane, and sulfur with costs of $2.7 billion.
Saeed Abdel Moneim, Chairman of Khalda Petroleum Company, has announced that the company will pump investments worth $1.2 billion and drill 42 exploratory wells, in addition to other 81 development wells in the Western Desert during fiscal year (FY) 2024/25.

As part of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ strategy to develop natural gas supply services, the Egyptian International Gas Technology Corporation (Gastec) has signed an agreement with inDrive to promote the services of using natural gas as a clean and sustainable fuel provided by Gastec, within the framework of the inDrive policy to preserve the environment and contribute to reducing pollution and improving air quality.
The Chairman of South Valley Egyptian Petroleum Holding Company (Ganope), Ashraf Bahaa stated that company is now working on the second phase of collecting 3D seismic survey data at the Red Sea, noting that on the completion of its processing, the company will start drilling exploratory drills during Q1 of 2024 costing $150 million.
