Minister of Transport, Kamel El Wazir, met with a delegation from Zaitoun Green to discuss the construction of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) station for ships in Damietta port, according to the State Information Service.

The delegation’s meeting with the minister mainly discussed opportunities for cooperation in the field of maritime transport between the two parties.

During the meeting, the two parties discussed the study submitted by the delegation to construct the LNG facility in Damietta port.

For his part, the minister stressed the importance of coordination with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to discuss this project.
