Waha Oil Company Completes Samaha, Dharha Pipeline

The Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced that Waha oil Company has completed the needed maintenance on the pipeline that links Samaha and Dharha fields with Ed-Sider terminal to back to operation and production, according to a press release.

The maintenance operations took six days and included welding and installation of 72 joints due to lack of budget to ensure the safety of NOC’s assets. It should take two weeks, but NOC asked Waha to minimize the time within one week to reduce the losses.

On this occasion, NOC’s Chairman, Mustafa Sanallah, expressed his gratitude for Waha Oil Company and its employees for their dedication and hard work.  Additionally, NOC mentioned that the lack of budgets to maintain the assets push it to reduce the production.
