The UAE’ exports of crude oil to Japan amounted to 25,089 million barrels during December last year, representing 22.8% of total Japanese imports, which was 110,135 million barrels.
In a statement, the Japanese Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, affiliated with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, explained that the UAE came in second place as the largest crude oil exporter to Japan after Saudi Arabia.
The statement pointed out that Arab oil accounted for 73.6%, or about three-quarters of the oil needs of Japan came from the GCC Countries, Iraq, Sudan and Libya.
