Town Gas Records 20% Revenues Growth in FY 2025

Town Gas recorded total revenues of approximately EGP 4.8 billion during fiscal year (FY) 2025, a 20% increase compared to EGP 4 billion the previous year. Mohamed Fathy, the company’s Chairman, reported these figures during the General Assembly convened to approve the financial results. The company yielded a net profit exceeding EGP 340 million, driven by an expansion in natural gas connection projects and the successful launch of its international operations in Romania.

The meeting was attended by Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, who praised the company’s pivotal role in national development, specifically through natural gas connections under the Haya Karima initiative. Badawi directed the company to finalize a time-bound work plan to bolster its international presence, particularly in European markets, following its successful expansion into Romania.

During the year, Town Gas connected approximately 102,000 residential units, 1,000 commercial customers, 23 subsidized bakeries, and six industrial clients across Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Ismailia, and Port Said. This brings its total customer base to 5 million, representing 34% of all natural gas users in Egypt. A significant portion of these operations was driven by “Decent Life” projects, where the company completed natural gas infrastructure for 21 villages in Atfih.

On the international front, Town Gas resumed operations in Romania in early April, becoming the first Egyptian firm to operate in the European market as a contractor through its Bucharest branch, following accreditation by the Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE). Furthermore, the company established a new branch in Saudi Arabia and is currently preparing feasibility studies for natural gas projects in Amman and Zarqa, Jordan, after executing a control systems project for TAQA Arabia in Amman.

Technical achievements during FY 2025 included the implementation of about one million work orders and the training of 100 young engineers in project management. In terms of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) reporting, Town Gas maintained a record of safe man-hours without injuries throughout the year.

Town Gas is a leading subsidiary of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), specializing in the distribution and connection of natural gas across several Egyptian governorates.
