NORPETCO Produces 12,700 b/d, Invests $91.4 Mn in FY 2025/26

North Bahariya Petroleum Company (NORPETCO), an Egyptian oil exploration and production company, drilled 13 wells and produced production of 12,700 barrels per day (b/d), while carrying out $91.4 million in operational, asset enhancement, and facilities development investments during the fiscal year (FY) 2025/26.

NORPETCO Chairman Ahmed Salah said the company delivered balanced performance by maximizing operational efficiency, accelerating drilling and development activities, and rationalizing capital and operating expenditures, while maintaining high safety and environmental sustainability standards.

The company completed 28 well maintenance and enhancement operations and made two new exploration discoveries in the Abu Rawash area. It also generated financial savings through cost- and energy-efficiency initiatives and commissioned an 800-kilowatt (kW) solar power system at its camp.

NORPETCO recorded 6.5 million safe working hours and replaced 77 kilometers of production pipelines, according to Salah.

EGPC’s CEO Salah Abdel Kerim praised NORPETCO’s employees and management for the company’s performance, stressing the importance of energy transition projects at NORPETCO and its production sites as essential components of sustainability.

Abdel Kerim also emphasized the need for continued efforts to increase production and support Egypt’s economy, calling on all sector stakeholders to maintain their efforts toward achieving this goal.

NORPETCO is a joint venture between EGPC, Sahara North Bahariya (Egypt), Graystone (United States), and INA‑Nafta (Croatia). The company focuses on exploration, development, and crude oil production in the North Bahariya area, contributing to Egypt’s domestic output.
