Misr Petroleum Reports EGP 230 Bn Revenue, 8 Mmt Sales in FY2025/26

Misr Petroleum, one of Egypt’s largest petroleum products marketing firms,  generated more than EGP 230 billion in revenue, sold over 8 million tons (mmt) of petroleum products and made around EGP 1 billion in investments during fiscal year (FY) 2025/26, according to Chairman Mohamed Maged Bakheet.

The company invested EGP 180 million in developing its petroleum product shipment and inventory monitoring systems to enhance distribution efficiency and ensure supply continuity, and EGP 404 million in fire protection and automatic alarm systems across its depots, service stations, airports, ports, and oil blending complex, according to Bakheet.

Moreover, it allocated EGP 31 million to develop its aviation and marine fueling activities, while EGP 321 million was invested in replacing, upgrading, and improving the efficiency of the company’s machinery, equipment, and facilities.

In addition, the company expanded its international presence by opening outlets in Libya, Rwanda, and Malta, marking its first operations outside Egypt and supporting its strategy to expand into new markets.

These efforts contributed to the company achieving zero injuries and zero fatalities during FY 2025/26, reflecting its commitment to strengthening occupational health, safety, and environmental protection across its operations.

These figures were revealed during  the company’s General Assembly meeting, attended by Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and senior government and petroleum sector officials.

During the meeting, Badawi emphasized the importance of continuing Misr Petroleum’s plan to upgrade its fueling and service stations, which targets developing around 130 stations annually.

He also directed the company to maintain the highest occupational health and safety standards, particularly in the transportation and handling of petroleum products, while continuing to improve its aviation and marine fueling activities and maximize the utilization of its assets.

It should be noted that Misr Petroleum achieved total sales of 8.65 million tons in FY 2023/24.

Misr Petroleum is one of the largest distributors of refined petroleum products, petrochemicals, and synthetic lubricants. The company operates an extensive nationwide network of service stations and strategic storage depots , ensuring flexible product distribution and fuel supply security.
