Total Egypt plans to establish nine new gas stations in 2018. The stations will be located in Alexandria, Delta region, and Cairo as Total’s strategy for the coming period is to expand in Delta regions and Upper Egypt, Total Egypt’s Managing Director, Ian LePetit, told Daily News Egypt.
Total Egypt’s plan is to reach the vital areas in highways, as well as villages, and to provide better service to the Egyptian market.
“The company continues to establish service stations according to the highest European standards for building and operating the stations so that they offer super quality products to customers,” LePetit pointed out, adding “in the coming three years, the company plans to invest in the fields of refining, distribution, exploration, and solar energy.”
This plan comes as the new gas market regulating law would help Total inject more investments to the Egyptian market, LePetit said, adding that it will also allow private sector firms to import natural gas directly and to benefit from the available facilities and capacities in the Egyptian national gas grid and to improve their use efficiency.
