Technip Wins Subsea Contract in Gulf of Mexico

Technip has won a lump sum contract by Deep Gulf Energy II to develop the Odd Job field in the ultra deepwater field in the Gulf of Mexico, Trade Arabia reported.

The offshore installation is to be performed in water depths of between 1,330m to 1,825m by the Technip’s Deep Blue vessel, one of the world’s largest ultra-deepwater pipelay and subsea construction vessel.

The work is scheduled for the summer 2016,

The contract consists of engineering and management services, installation of 23km of pipe-in-pipe flowline, 2km of Steel Caternary Riser as well as in-line sled, flowline and SCR systems, Oil Voice and WorldOil informed.
