Suez Canal Authority Keeps LNG Carrier Tolls Unchanged

The Suez Canal Authority (SCA)confirmed that the transit tolls for LNG carriers would remain steady in 2022.

This came in light of the continuous follow-up of the international LNG trade’s current situation. It is worth noting that the SCA has also reduced the rebate granted to liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers to 15% from 25%.

SCA Chairman Osama Rabea stated that the authority will increase the transit tolls by 6% for all types of ships passing through the canal during 2022, except for LNG ships and tourist cruise ships.
