Sound Energy Spuds First Tendrara Well Onshore Morocco

Sound Energy announced that it commenced drilling the first well at Tendrara, onshore Morocco. In an statement, the European and Mediterranean focused upstream oil and gas company said that the first casing point at a measured vertical depth (“MVD”) of 496 meters and that the 13 3/8″ casing had been successfully set and cemented in the aalenian dolomite formation.

 With the rig-up completed on April 15th, the well was spud on April 20th. As Your Oil and Gas News reported, drilling is expected to reach a total measured depth of 2640m with the drilling program anticipated to include coring, logging, completion, and testing.

The company added that will proceed to drill towards the second casing point at an MVD of approximately 1,960 meters and it will announce the final results of the well after the end of drilling and testing operations, approximately 80 days after the spud day, World Oil wrote.
