Italian energy industry contractor Saipem has secured a $1.3 billion pipeline project for work in the Middle East offshore engineering and construction sector, RigZone reported.

Saipem will conduct engineering, procurement, construction and installation activities in relation to two 32-inch export pipelines, two 24-inch corrosion-resistant alloy intrafield pipelines, risers, spool pieces and subsea structures.

No details have been released as to the name of the contractee, the exact location of the project, or a timeline for the work.
