Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) has achieved a score of 97 out of 100 for environmental reporting to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), reported Trade Arabia.
This is 37% above the average score for CDP for its Global Supply Chain Program meant to achieve sustainable supply chain management, and reduce climate change risk.
SABIC’s Executive Vice President for Technology and Innovation, Awadh Al-Maker explained that sustainability was a key facet of the corporation’s 2025 strategy.
The CDP is a global organization dedicated to preventing dangerous climate change effects, and protecting natural resources through best business practices, environmental risk-management, and energy efficiency measures, according to Zawya.
CDP’s Supply Chain Program benchmarks over 4,000 companies. SABIC was ranked among top performers in the petrochemical industry.
