RWE Dea Announces First Production From UK Southern North Sea Cavendish Field

Germany’s RWE Dea has flowed first commercial gas from the Cavendish field, in Block 43/19a, in the UK’s Southern gas basin.
Operator RWE said work on the development got under way in July 2005, with production expected to continue until 2016.
The company added that the initial production rate from the first well is 60 million cubic feet of gas per day.
The development consists of a six-slot minimum facilities platform which is tied back to the ConocoPhillips-operated Caister Murdoch system via 47 kilometers of newly laid 10-inch diameter pipeline. Gas is then transported onward to the Theddlethorpe gas terminal in the UK.
RWE operates the field with a 50% stake. Its partner Dana petroleum holds the other 50%.
