PMS CEO Visits Barge PMS 17 Site

Petroleum Marine Services (PMS) CEO Amr Badawy has made a field visit to the work site of the marine unit owned by the company, Barge PMS 17, in the Gulf of Suez.

The visit comes within the framework of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ (MoPMR) strategy for field follow-up of ongoing projects, work sites and production

Badawy’s visit aimed to monitor the implementation of the final stages of the October offshore field development project assigned to PMS by the Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company (GUPCO) with the aim of maximizing crude oil production in that field. During the visit, Badawy was accompanied by representatives from GUPCO and PMS.

Badawy listened to a detailed presentation by the project manager on the executive status of testing work for marine lines carried out by PMS in the project, praising the productivity rates in carrying out the work.

It is noteworthy that PMS has carried out the work of lowering two marine lines with diameters of 18 inches, using the company-owned marine facility, the Barge PMS 17, which is equipped with the latest advanced technical capabilities and is specialized in carrying out the work of lowering marine lines and installing platforms.

Modernization and development plans for the Barge PMS 17 were also discussed to assess the possibility of providing it with capabilities that would allow it to carry out various tasks in marine projects in accordance with the new needs of the local and regional market.

The attendees also emphasized the importance of regular maintenance of the company’s marine fleet and ensuring its safe operation in order to preserve production assets and workers.
