In a meeting held by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly to follow up on presidential directives, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources was given the task of setting a roadmap and timeline to attract new oil and gas exploration investments.

The ministry was also tasked with working to offer new areas for various mining activities and new petrochemical complexes for cooperation with the private sector.

Additionally, the tasks of the ministry included coordination with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to implement the required projects for the sustainable industry initiative between Egypt, the UAE and Jordan.
