Petroshrouk’s investments recorded $184 million during fiscal year (FY) 2020/21, Khaled Mowafy, the company’s chairman, said.
This came during the general assembly meeting chaired by the minister of petroleum and mineral resources, Tarek El Molla, to review the company’s performance in the FY, the ministry said in a statement.
Petroshrouk succeeded in meeting the required production rates of 2020/21, producing an average of around 2.6 billion cubic feet per day (bcf/d) of natural gas and 5000 barrels per day (b/d) of condensates.
“The oil and gas sector continues to intensify its exploration and production activities and drilling wells in order to maintain and increase production rates of oil and gas to provide the needs of the local market and the state’s economic sectors of the state,” El Molla noted.
