Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with IBM to allow the ministry to benefit from the IT company’s advisory services in digital transformation and sustainability, which will support the ambitions of the petroleum sector’s companies in these areas.

Alaa Hagar, Undersecretary of the Technical Office at the MoPMR, was the ministry’s representative at the signing of the MoU, and IBM was represented by Tamer Abul Azm, Managing Partner at IBM Consulting Egypt, in the presence of Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla as well as Saad Touma, Director of IBM for the Middle East and Africa, and Marwa Abbas, General Manager and Technology Leader at IBM Egypt.
