Petroleum Ministry Elevates Middle Management Graduates to Key Leadership Roles

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi assigned a group of 15 graduates from the Middle Management program to assume key positions within the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MoPMR), the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), and the leadership of various holding companies..

This came as part of the MoPMR’s strategy to benefit from its skilled capacities who graduated from the middle management program to find a strong base of leaders able to complete the modernization journey.

It is also aligned with Egypt’s sustainable development strategy and as an activating for Work Shadowing initiative launched by the ministry in September 2023 which continues for 18 months to ensure exchanging expertise and sustained performance.

The appointments included:

Ahmed Lotfy Hassan, the Assistant General Manager for Energy Efficiency at North Marine Petroleum Company (Norpetco) is assigned as the assistant of the first undersecretary for the ministry and supervisor for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), Energy Efficiency and Climate.

Ahmed Bahaa Ibrahim, the Head of the department at Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company (GUPCO), a delegate at the technical office of the ministry is assigned as the assistant of EGPC’s CEO.

Ehab Ahmed Hussien, the General Manager of the Natural gas exploration and development economies at Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) is assigned as assistant of EGPC’s CEO.

Alaa Ahmed El Shenawy, the Assistant General Manager for Operations at Esh El Mallaha Petroleum Company (Eshpetco) is assigned as assistant of EGPC’s CEO.

Hussien Hosny Hassan, the General Manager of the National Control Center at Gasco is assigned as assistant to the Managing Director at EGAS.

Hesham Adel Bayomi, the General Manager of Engineering Studies and Operations at Rashid Petroleum Company (Rashpetco) is assigned as Assistant to the Managing Director at EGAS.

Dalia Sherief Al Ashmawy, the General Manager of network operations at Gasco is assigned as assistant to the Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company’s (ECHEM) CEO.

Kyrillos Kamil Abdel Quddous, the General Manager of Production Planning at Assiut Oil Refining (ASORC) is assigned as assistant of the ECHEM’s CEO.

Hassan Abdel Wahab, the General Manager of Operations at EPROM is assigned as assistant of the ECHEM’s CEO.

Ahmed Mohamed Mahdi, the Executive Assistant General Manager- Technical office for the Chairman of the Petroleum Marine Services (PMS) is assigned as assistant of the EGPC’s CEO for Planning and Projects.

Sarah Gamal El Din Nour El Din, the General Manager of Sales at Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals Company (SIDPEC) is assigned as assistant of the EGPC’s CEO for Foreign Trade.

Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Kader, the Executive Assistant General Manager at Rashpetco is assigned as assistant of EGAS’ CEO for production.

Ahmed Samy Abdel Hamid, the General Manager of Refining and Processing at EGPC is assigned as assistant to the EGAS CEO and Managing Director.

Farida Ahmed Serry, the Assistant General Manager of the Gas Market Affairs at Gasco is assigned as assistant of EGAS’ Deputy Executive Managing Director for operations and networks.

Mohamed Mostafa Fateh, the Assistant General Manager of Information Technology and Communications at Pharaonic Petroleum Company is assigned as assistant of EGAS’ Executive Managing Director Assistant for Information Technology and Communications.
