Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has emphasized the importance of the development projects carried out in the Petroleum Geographic Zone in Assiut through adding new refining capacities including the projects of the high-octane gasoline complex and the ongoing Assiut National Oil Processing Company’s (ANOPC) Hydrocracking Diesel Complex.
El Molla made the statement during the general assembly meeting of the Assiut Oil Refining Company (ASORC) to approve its planned budget for the fiscal year (FY) 2024/25.
The minister added that these projects will enhance the security of supply of petroleum products in Upper Egypt. Additionally, he emphasized the remarkable development witnessed by the national oil companies (NOCs), which represents added value for the petroleum sector.
