Petrogas Fills 310 M Butane Cylinders in 2023/24

Petrogas Chairman Mohamed Farhat has explained that the local market was supplied by around 3.6 million tons of butane gas, and that Petrogas had filled 310 million cylinders through 49 filling stations in fiscal year (FY) 2023/24.

This came during the general assembly meeting chaired by Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi to approve the business results for the FY 2023/24

Farhat stated that the company has 3,067 distribution centers, explaining the efforts to support the health, occupational safety, and protect the environment (HSE). Farahat further highlighted efforts to update the automatic alarm and firefighting systems in the areas of Mostorod, Katameya, Sohag, Alexandria, Tanta, and Quesna.

Moreover, Farahat pointed out Petrogas’ success in achieving more than 15 million safe working hours, and repairing and maintaining about 3 million butane cylinders.

During the meeting, Badawi initiated a check on the readiness of the emergency system via the designated complaint hotline, 19095.

He commended the swift response and effective communication of the team and inquired about the complaints received that day. The call handler reported that two incidents had been filed from the cities of Badr and Obour, and work teams had already been dispatched to address them.
