Oman’s Natural Gas Production Records Increase to More Than 26 bcm by End of June 2023

The total Oman local output of natural gas has reached 26.19 billion cubic meters (bcm) until the end of June 2023, increasing by 2.3% compared to the same period in 2022, which amounted to 25.60 bcm, Times of Oman reported.

According to statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), industrial projects accounted for 58.7% of natural gas use in Oman at 15.39 bcm until the end of June 2023.

Additionally, the total use of natural gas for oil fields amounted to 6.76 bcm, power plants at 3.89 bcm and industrial areas at 131.50 million cubic meters (mmcm).
