“Oman is aiming to achieve an average of up to 900,000 bpd in 2010, due to new discoveries and production expected to come online this year,” said Oman oil and gas minister, Mohammed El Rumhy.

Last year, Oman’s gas production rose 6% to 1.1 trillion cubic feet compared to 2008.
