Nigeria Directs Country-Wide Fuel Supply Intervention

Nigeria’s Ministry of State for Petroleum Resources has issued a direction to the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company and the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency, requesting a special supply intervention to ensure petroleum products will be delivered during the upcoming Christmas holiday, The Nation reported.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) said that the intervention would entail ramping up additional supply via daily truck-out operations to Abuja, Kaduna, Kano, Enugu, Ibadan, and Jos to guarantee free-flow of products.

In addition, the NNPC has been consolidating its strategic alliance with some major depot owners and oil marketers with strong regional logistics outlay in the areas to ensure country-wide penetration of products, according to EnergyMixReport.
