El-Nasr Company for Intermediate Chemicals (NCIC) has assigned to the Engineering for the Petroleum & Process Industries (Enppi) the task of managing the implementation of the third phase of the phosphate and compound fertilizer complex project in Ain Sokhna, in the presence of Walid Abu Al Magd, National Service Projects Organization (NSPO) Director.
This comes in line with the framework of fruitful cooperation between petroleum sector companies and NSPO.
This assignment follows the success achieved by Enppi in its contribution to managing the implementation of the first and second phases of this national project, which began in 2016 and were inaugurated by President Abdelfattah El Sisi respectively, in the years 2019 and 2023.
Ihab Abdel Samie, NCIC’s Chairman, signed the technical advisory services contract for the third phase of the project with Wael Lotfy, Enppi’s Chairman.
Abdel Samie expressed his appreciation and confidence of NCIC in Enppi’s expertise in project management.
Additionally, Abdel Samie reviewed the aspects of cooperation between the two companies, stressing his encouragement that Enppi’s activity include other industries in addition to the petroleum industries, in which the company is considered a pioneer.
Meanwhile, Lotfy praised the level of cooperation between the two companies, which resulted in many joint projects.
The phosphate and nitrogen fertilizer complex in Ain Sokhna aims to support Egypt’s Vision 2030 by implementing national projects in order to expand nation’s arable lan. It is also expected to enhance the added value of natural resources in Egypt, represented by natural gas, phosphate rocks and limestone. Moreover, it aims at creating more job opportunities, especially those related to technology transfer, to create qualified national cadres to manage such giant industrial monuments.
