NCIC Awards EPC Contract to Enppi

El Nasr Company for Intermediate Chemicals (NCIC), an affiliate to the Armed Forces National Service Authority, has awarded a new management services contract to Enppi, the Company reported.

Under the contract, Enppi will manage the EPC work of NCIC’s new project for Nitrogen Fertilizers Complex, which will be executed by consortium of German Thyssen Krupp and Petrojet.

The project will consist of six production plants that will produce Ammonia, Urea Synthesis, Granulated Urea, Nitric Acid, Ammonium Nitrate, and Calcium Ammonium Nitrate, making the company the first of its kind in Egypt.

The size of the new complex is anticipated to be equivalent to that of the existing one, ranking the Sokhna Fertilizers Complex as a massive project, promoting Egypt revenues, localizing new industries and technologies, in addition to supporting Egypt’s vision for 2030.

This came during an NCIC delegation visit to Enppi, attended by Alaa Hegazy, Enppi Chairman and CEO; Mokhtar Abdel Latif, NCIC Chairman and Managing Director, as well as top executives from both companies.
