Ukraine’s Naftogaz Group received critical energy equipment from Norway in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), which will help strengthen Ukraine’s energy resilience and ensure uninterrupted energy supply.
Acting Naftogaz Chairman of the Board Roman Chumak and acting Ukrgasvydobuvannya CEO Serhii Lahno officially accepted the equipment in Kyiv.
The equipment is gas-fired generator sets with a total capacity of 150 MW, which will provide backup power and heat supply for critical infrastructure and residential areas.
Ukrgasvydobuvannya received equipment to enhance natural gas production, which is critical for the country’s energy security.
Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko stressed that the equipment would significantly improve the reliability of electricity and heating supplies for millions of Ukrainians while ensuring the provision of essential services.
