Mott MacDonald has been appointed by Oman Refineries and Petrochemicals Company LLC to provide specialist engineering services to its Sohar division in Oman.

Sohar Refineries has appointed Mott MacDonald to provide engineering support to its engineering department to work on mechanical engineering projects requiring varying levels of expertise over the next nine months.

Vinod Shah, Mott MacDonald’s managing director of the Oman office said, “This is an important commission for us as we have not worked for this client before and we are hopeful that it may lead to further commissions in the future.”

Mott MacDonald has a successful track-record in oil and gas in Oman with more than 440 employees working on several major contracts for Oman’s main oil, gas and petrochemical companies.
