Melrose turns on Dikirnis taps

Melrose Resources has started production at one of its wells on the Dikirnis field in Egypt and found oil rim accumulations at another, the UK-listed explorer said.
The company said the West Dikirnis-7 horizontal development well was flowing 3000 barrels of oil or condensate per day with 4.4 million cubic feet of gas.
The East Dikirnis-1 exploration well has been successfully drilled, with the well hitting 38 feet of gas, Melrose .
Meanwhile, Melrose said it spudded the Nunan-1 exploration well in east texas on 15 January.
The well is targeting a number of different pay zones, including a shallow oil prospect with unrisked reserves of 3 million barrels of oil or condensate, with a 29% chance of success.
It has deferred drilling of the Ramsey-1 exploration well to take advantage of an expected reduction in the US drilling rig and services rates.
