Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has met the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla to check on the progress of the ministry’s efforts in implementing the presidential directives regarding exploration and production (E&P) operations and petroleum products supplies.
During the meeting, the PM welcomed the latest efforts of the East Mediterranean Gas Forum (EMGF) especially after the effects of the current global conditions. He also affirmed the government’s readiness to facilitate the needed procedures for investments in E&P.
El Molla pointed to the agreements and talks that he held with the European Union (EU) and the U.S. on the sidelines of the EMGF’s ministerial meeting, noting that these agreements will accelerate the utilization of East Mediterranean natural gas resources as well as the Egyptian infrastructure to transport natural gas to Europe.
