Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met with Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi, to discuss key issues in the petroleum sector, including efforts to expand investments, updates on incentive packages provided by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MoPMR), and the supply of petroleum products to local markets.
During the meeting, Badawi highlighted the significant outcomes of the recent visit by his Cypriot counterpart to Egypt, which included field visits to several natural gas production sites. This visit underscores the commitment of both countries to strengthening bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.
He also touched on the fruitful results of the Mediterranean Offshore Conference (MOC 2024) in Alexandria, which included holding several meetings with international officials on the sidelines of the conference and signing memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements to enhance cooperation with the international companies in many in areas.
The Minister of Petroleum is scheduled to participate in the next press conference on Wednesday 24th of October, which will be held by the Prime Minister to present the ongoing developments of the ministry’s various operations.
